This Privacy Policy explains what data WeddingPOV(“we”, “us”, “the service”) collects when you use our website at weddingpov.com or our iOS and Android apps, how we use it, and the choices you have. WeddingPOV is operated by Red Bank Studio, LLC (New Jersey, USA).
The plain summary: you own the photos you upload. We host them so the people in your wedding's private gallery can see them. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't track you across other apps or sites.
What we collect
Account data
- Email address — used to send the one-time code that signs you in.
- Display name — what other guests see next to your photos and comments.
- Profile photo — optional, uploaded by you.
Wedding data (couples only)
- Couple name
- Wedding date (optional)
- Wedding location — free text you type. Not a GPS reading.
- Cover image (optional)
- A 6-character join code that we generate so guests can find your gallery.
Content you (or your guests) post
- Photos uploaded to a wedding gallery
- Optional captions or guest messages on each photo
- Comments on photos
- Likes on photos
- A guest name supplied per upload (or your profile name, if signed in)
Device data
- Native push notification tokens from Apple and Google (used only to deliver notifications you've enabled)
- Web Push subscription endpoints — only if you opt into browser notifications
Marketing opt-in
At signup we ask, with a separate checkbox that defaults off, whether we may send you occasional product updates from Red Bank Studio. If you opt in, your email is synced to an audience in Resend for that purpose. You can switch this off any time in Settings → Marketing emails, or unsubscribe from the footer of any marketing email.
Billing data (paid plans)
When you buy a 6-month or 1-year plan:
- Card data is handled entirely by Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing, or Stripe (web). WeddingPOV never sees your credit card number.
- We receive a subscriber ID from RevenueCat linked to your account so we know which entitlements (storage duration, etc.) to apply.
What we don't collect
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID)
- No third-party analytics SDKs (no Mixpanel, no Segment, no Amplitude)
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking
- No precise location data — the “wedding location” field is free text you type, not a GPS reading
- No biometric data
- No health data
- We do not buy or sell personal data
Where your data is stored
We use a small set of trusted processors. Each handles your data only under our instructions and only as needed to deliver the service.

Who can see what
- Photos and captions you upload are visible to everyone who has joined that wedding's gallery with the 6-character code or QR. They are not public on the internet.
- Comments and likes are visible to the same audience.
- We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party other than the processors listed above.
How long we keep things
Galleries are retained based on the plan the couple chose:

Archived galleries' photos remain in our database but are no longer visible or downloadable until the couple upgrades.
Account data (email, display name, profile photo) is retained until you delete your account.
How to delete your account
In the app, go to Settings → Delete my account. The flow removes:
- Your profile and account record
- All weddings you own
- All photos in those weddings (from both storage and the database)
- All of your likes and comments across other weddings
Deletion is permanent and immediate. There is no grace period and we cannot recover deleted data.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have these rights — and we extend them to all users globally regardless of where you live:
- Access: your photos, profile, and wedding data are visible in-app at any time.
- Deletion: use the in-app delete-account flow described above.
- Marketing opt-out: toggle marketing emails off in Settings, or unsubscribe from the footer of any marketing email.
- Data portability: photos can be saved individually via the share button on each photo. Bulk export isn't yet supported — email support@weddingpov.comand we'll generate one for you.
- Object to or restrict processing: email privacy@weddingpov.com.
For any privacy request, contact privacy@weddingpov.com. We respond within 30 days.
Children
The app is rated 4+ on the App Store, but it is intended for adults — couples planning their wedding and their guests. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn a child under 13 has signed up, we delete the account. Minors aged 13–17 should only use the service with a parent or guardian's involvement.
Apple App Store privacy declarations
For App Store transparency, we declare the following data categories in App Store Connect's App Privacy questionnaire:
- Contact Info → Email Address — linked to identity, used for App Functionality (account sign-in)
- User Content → Photos or Videos — linked to identity, used for App Functionality (the wedding gallery)
- User Content → Other User Content — linked to identity, used for App Functionality (captions and comments)
- Identifiers → User ID — linked to identity, used for App Functionality
We declare “Data Not Used to Track You” — we do no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when we change how we handle data. If a change is significant, we'll also notify you by email or with an in-app banner. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
